Gearing up to start Book 2

We're pretty close to the kickoff of The Tale of Rin: Book 2. I haven't yet decided on a subtitle name (like "Protege" for Book 1), and I'll just refer to it as "Book 2" for now. I'll retain the consecutive numbering, and begin with Episode 80. As mentioned in an earlier update, I'll now be releasing episodes as-ready rather than on a fixed schedule. I expect to average around an episode a week once I start.

The difficulty of navigating episodes on the Substack website has been a common refrain from readers. I've been in communication with Substack about this. Whether in response to my suggestions or of their own initiative, they recently made a big improvement. I now can include prev/next buttons at the bottom of each post, facilitating the reading of multiple episodes at a time. Be warned: these buttons are small and grey and can be difficult to spot at first. Also, Substack's navigation doesn't allow me to distinguish episodes from informational posts --- so you'll have to manually skip the occasional news update.

To further expedite navigation, I've pinned a post which includes convenient links to the start and end of Book 1 and the start of Book 2.

So far, I've indicated via each episode's subtitle the fiction-date (and sometimes location) of that episode. Unfortunately, the appearance of the episode-list page makes it easy to confuse these with the episode publication dates --- especially since much of the action takes place in modern times. Going forward, I'll try to fix this (probably by including the fiction-date at the top of the text rather than in the official episode "subtitle" slot).
